 Shannon Rohan -- President
Shannon is a second year full-time MBA student specializing in Health Sector Management. She spent this past summer working as a marketing intern in the Radiology Department at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. Shannon graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse prior to moving to Boston. She enjoys traveling, watching college football, running by the Charles River and exploring Boston in her free time.
Julie Nisbet -- VP of FinanceJulie Nisbet is the V.P of Finance. Julie is a second year MS-MBA. Before coming to Boston University, she graduated from the University of Michigan and spent four years working as a Programmer/Analyst for the Healthcare Division of Thomson Reuters. This past summer she worked as a Business Analyst Intern at EMC Corporation. When not grappling with Excel spreadsheets you can find Julie dreaming about the next place she wants to travel, running along the Charles or watching college sports (Go Blue!).
Laura Plattner -- VP of Marketing
Laura is the Vice President of Marketing for BU WMBA. She is a second-year student in the Public and Nonprofit Management Program, concentrating in Entrepreneurship. She graduated from the University of Virginia and worked in book publishing in New York before leaving to spend five months living and volunteer teaching at a school in Kampala, Uganda. This past summer, she worked as a development intern at charity: water, a nonprofit start-up that raises funds to build wells in developing countries.
Angela Pontrello -- VP of Operations
Angela is a second year part-time MBA student specializing in Health Sector Management. Angela most recently held the position of Strategic Initiatives Manager at Norwich Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Angela graduated from Syracuse University with a dual B.S. in Biochemistry and Communications and a few years later graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with an M.S., Biochemistry. In her spare time she likes to read, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
Carol Chow - PEMBA Representative
Carol is a first-year part-time MBA student and works at State Street Global Advisors. She focuses on competitive analysis and product strategy for exchange-traded funds. Carol is a local girl from Lexington, Mass and did not travel very far for her undergraduate degree, graduating from Boston University with a major in International Relations. She loves the outdoors, running along the Charles and snowboarding in the winter, in addition to cooking and traveling.
Sarita Borgenicht - First Year Representative
Sarita is a first year MBA student concentrating in International Management and Finance. She holds a BBA in Finance and Economics from the George Washington University, and prior to attending BU, was a Business Analyst at Cambridge Associates LLC. Sarita spends her free time skiing, running, and cheering for the Red Sox (especially Josh Beckett!).
Kim Vo - First Year Representative
Kim is a first year full-time MBA student specializing in Health Sector Management. Kim graduated from University of California, San Diego with a bachelor's degree in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience and worked as a researcher and information resource consultant prior to moving to Boston. She enjoys traveling, salsa dancing, and exploring Boston in her free time. |
